Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 Cups wheat flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1 Cup butter, softened3/4 Cups white sugar3/4 Cups brown sugar, packed2 tsp vanilla extract2 eggs10 oz Ghiradelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate Chips1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)6 tbsp Flax Seed (optional)
Preheat oven to 375. Stir flour with baking soda and salt; set aside. Beat butter with sugar and brown sugar with fork until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing until incorporated.
Gradually blend dry mixture into creamed mixture, Stir in chocolate chips, flax seeds,and nuts (optional). Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving Size: Makes 4 Dozen cookies.
