Red Velvet Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients
1 (10.5 oz) bag of mini marshmallows3 tablespoons butter1/2 tsp vanilla3/4 cup red velvet cake mix6 cups rice cereal13"x9" pan
Directions
Melt butter and mini marshmallows over low heat. When the marshmallows are completely melted, mix in the vanilla and red velvet cake mix.
Remove from heat and carefully stir in the rice crispies until evenly coated.
Pour the batter into a lined or greased 13"x9" pan and press down.
Wait until cooled and cut to serve.

    I made these for my hubby for Valentine's Day, substituting fluff for the marshmallows and butter (to make the recipe gelatin-free and thus vegetarian). I cut out heart-shapes using cookie cutters and placed white chocolate chips around the border. So cute and yummy! - 2/13/15
