Meringues

Ingredients
3 egg whites1/2 tsp cream of tartar3/4 cup sugar1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Whisk egg whites until frothy. Slowly add in sugar, whisking constantly (a whisk on an electric mixer is best!) over about 10 minutes. Continue to mix for 10 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved. Fold in vanilla extract. Place teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 250F for 1 hour. Turn oven off and keep the cookies in the oven (do not open it!) for another hour.
