1.5 cups rolled oats3/4 cup wheat germ3/4 cup Flaxseed meal 1 cup Special K1 cup honey nut Cheerios8 tbsp Shaklee energizing soy protien1 cup Rice Krispies1 1/4 cup All Bran3 tbsp unsalted butter3/4 natural peanut butter3/4 cup unpacked brown sugar 3/4 cup honey2 tsp vanilla extract1/2 mini Chocolate Chips
Toast rolled oats,wheat germ and flaxseed meal in oven. Toast for 8 min stirring every 2 min. In large bowl add all other cereal. When oat mixture is done toasting add to cereal. mix. While oats are toasting, melt butter add brown sugar, honey, peanut butter and vanilla. Add this to combined cereal, oat mix stir till everything is coated. Push into 8x13 greased baking pan. Let cool 10 minutes. Pat chocolate chips into the top of bars. After letting chocolate chips sit for 5 min cut bars and put pan in fridge. It is best to keep them in the pan and break them apart after being cooled. Store in fridge to keep from being really crumbly.

Careful---these look absolutely delicious but I really wouldn't consider this a "protein bar" with only 4.8 grams of protein and 28.8 grams of carbohydrate. The Oats, Special K, Cheerios, brown sugar, honey, chocolate chips are all very high glycemic index. I'm sure they're great for quick energy! - 5/19/21
