I made these and turned out quite good, but I find it easier to put the fries with the oil in a ziploc bag and shake it instead of the bowl - 10/14/08

Excellent! I've found the temperature can be adjusted without hurting the potatoes. 400 degrees for 50-55 minutes works just as well. - 1/20/13

just cut your fries thick like homestyle fries otherwise they get to crunchy or burn. This was a great idea now I can have my french fries and eat them too - 11/9/11

I make this french fry but didn't use the olive oil. I use Pam spray instead and this eliminates more calories. Cut up the potato into fries, put them in a bowl, spray well. Then spray the cookie sheet, sprinkle the fries on it, season to your taste and bake as usual. - 3/3/11

Have tried many homemade french fries and this is the first one my husband liked and said he would like to see again. He liked that they were crispy on the outside, without having to broil them, and tasted like potatoes. - 1/14/15

Just as I expected, These are AWESOME!!! There is no reason to fry potatos. The higher temp is the trick to making them GREAT!!! - 5/10/11

nice and simple. we used a mandalin to cut them at ~1/4 in. only needed to bake for 20 min.

Very dependent on the thickness!! But still amazing! - 1/27/11

A favorite. Instead of mixing with olive oil, I spray them with my Misto Sprayer. It saves even more calories. - 1/26/11

Delicious, easy and fast. So easy to add herbs or spices to change up the taste a bit. I like to use Old Bay. Yum! - 12/30/10

This was delicious! I used 3 small sweet potatoes and 1 large russet, added a wee bit of salt, some pepper and cayenne pepper to the oil mix and kicked it on broil as soon as the taters were soft. YUM! The man loved it too! - 10/13/10

These are delicious!! I used one large baking potato for my husband and I. Each serving was a good size. I added salt, pepper, and a bit of Cajun seasoning. They turned out wonderful. My husband and I are fans of five guys fries, and these closely compare without the greasiness. Try the recipe! - 6/20/10
