Whole Grain Pastry Flour, 1.5 cup Butter, salted, 1 stickBrown Sugar, 1 cup, unpackedCocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, .75 cup Baking Powder, 1 tspSalt, 1 tsp Vanilla Extract, 1 tbsp Egg, fresh, 4 largeSemi Sweet Chocolate Chips, 12 tbspApplesauce, unsweetened, 1 cup
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease 9 x 13 pan
In med. sauce pan melt butter, add sugar. Bring to almost boil.
Add cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and vanilla. Mix.
Add applesauce. Mix.
Add eggs. Mix until thickened.
Add flour and chocolate chips. Mix.
Pour into baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Makes 28 2" x 2" squares
