Real Meatloaf

Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef or turkey (lower cals and fat)1 egg1/4 cup steel cut oats1 tsp ketchup2 tsp mustard1 tsp garlic powder1 tsp crushed ginger
Directions
Mix all ingredients well. Form into loaf. Cook at 350 for 40 minutes. Serve with a big salad!

    I liked the simplicity of the recipe, but it came out a little on the bland side. Next time I make it I will add onion, salt and pepper, and increase the ketchup and mustard. Also, I used beef when I made it; perhaps it is better suited to turkey. - 1/26/08

    Excellent recipe - I added 1/2 tsp chili powder, 1/4 cup chopped onion, 2 crushed garlic cloves, salt/pepper to taste, and 1/4 cup chopped green chili pepper - Spices it up a bit with very no variance in fats, carbs, or cholesterol and practically no increase in calories! - 1/25/08
