Southwestern Fajita Sub

Ingredients
1 package (11 ounces) refrigerated French bread dough1 egg white1 dash of salt1 tsp of black pepper1 tsp of garlic powder1 green bell pepper, cut into 1/2-inch strips1 small onion, sliced1 lime1/3 cup thick and chunky salsa1 garlic clove, pressed8 ounces sliced deli turkey breast1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place bread dough, seam sides down, along length of pan. Using a serrated bread knife, make four diagonal cuts, 1/2 inch deep, on top of the loaf of dough. In a small batter bowl, whisk egg white and salt, pepper, and a dash of italian or southwestern seasoning. Brush over dough using a pastry brush. Bake 25-27 minutes or until light golden brown. Immediately remove bread from pan to a cooling rack; set aside.

Slice bell peppers into 1/2-inch strips using a knife. Slice onion; cut slices in half. Using a juicer, juice lime to measure 1 tablespoon juice.

Heat skillet over medium-high heat until hot; spray with vegetable oil. Add bell peppers, onion, and remaining seasoning mixes to skillet, stir-fry 2 -3 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Add lime juice, salsa, and garlic to skillet; stir-fry for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Using Serrated Bread Knife, slice each loaf lengthwise, end to end, cutting halfway through to center of loaf; spread open, Arrange turkey evenly over loaf; top with vegetable mixture. Grate cheese over vegetable mixture using cheese grater. Place loaf on bar pan; bake 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove from oven; cut into slices. Serve with additional salsa and sour cream, if desired.
