Homemade Bagels

Ingredients
Dough: 2 tsp active dry yeast 2 tbsp mable syrup 2 tsp salt1.5 cup of lukewarm water2.5 cups of white flour 1 cup of whole grain flour 0.25 cup of sunflower seeds 4 tsp of flaxseeds + Extra seeds for toppings Water for cooking bagels: 1 pot of water Dash of sugar or mable syrup Dash of salt
Directions
1. Mix water, dry yeast, syrup in a large bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes.
2. Meanwhile cook flaxseeds in 1 cup of boiling water. 3. Strain any extra water from flaxseeds
4. Mix flour and salt
5. Start mixing the flour with water with a hand-mixer continue adding the flour until the dough is pretty firm, but still moist.
6. Mix in flaxseeds and sunflower seeds.
7. Let the dough rise for 1-2 hours.
8. Divide dough into 8 pieces and make dough balls.
9. Press them down a bit and make a hole in the middle.
10. Bring water to a boil and reduce heat.
11. Cook 2 bagels at a time, leave them in the water for about a minute and then turn them over and cook for a minute on the other side.
12. Heat oven about 220 degrees celcius
13. Add toppings if wanted.
14. Cook in oven for about 15-20 minutes.
15. They are done when they sound hollow when tapping them underneath.
