Spicy chicken-fried turkey burgers with avocado

  • Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
*Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 1 1/2 lb *Flour, white, 2 cups *Aldi's Egg Substitute, 1.25 cup *Arnold Select Potato Sandwich Roll , 4 rolls *Paprika, 1 tbsp *Garlic powder, 2 tsp *Onion powder, 2 tsp *Cayenne pepper, 1 tsp. *Ground Cumin, 1 tsp *Ketchup, (3/4 cups mixed with 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce or barbecue sauce) *Fat free cream, 1.5 cups *Salt *Pepper *Avocado, 1 whole *Burger toppings: (My personal faves) lettuce/spinach, red onion, avocado, ketchup, mustard, and mayo
Directions
Turn on grill so it is warm when you are ready.....You could also fry these in a pan but I prefer the George Foreman style grill because it reduces the amount of grease left behind.

1) In a small bowl combine 1 tbsp of salt, 1 tbsp of pepper, paprika, garlic, onion, cayenne, and cumin. Mix half of the spice blend into the ground turkey and then form 4 burgers.

2) In shallow dish, combine the remaining spice blend and the flour together. In a separate dish whisk the egg substitute and cream together.

3) Set all up in a line as if you were in a factory assembly line. Coat burgers in flour then egg and again flour then egg then one last flour. Burgers are ready to grill! Make sure you don't stuff your grill or pan too full in needed cook 2 at a time.

4) My preferred layering (from bottom to top)..... bottom bun, burger, lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, ketchup mixture, and honey mustard on the top bun.
