Patak's Chicken Biryani

2 tbsp veg oil1 medium onion, sliced4 oz Basmati rice (uncooked, rinsed and drained)6 tbsp Patak's Biryani Paste6 oz diced chicken breast1 1/4 cups water7 oz fresh or canned tomatoes1 tsp fresh chopped cilantro leaf (optional)
Serves 2
1. In a pan, gently heat the oil and saute the onions until golden. Stir in Patak's Biryani Paste, add chicken and cook until lightly browned.
2. Add drained rice, tomatoes and water, mix well and cover the pan
3. Simmer on low heat for 10-12 mins until the rice is cooked and the water has evaporated. Serve garnished with chopped cilantro leaf (optional)
