Oven Fried Green Tomatoes

4 Medium Green Tomatoes1/2 cup white flour1/2 cup low fat buttermilkSpray butter or oilSalt and pepper if desired
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
2. Spray cookie sheet with butter or oil
3. Put buttermilk and flour in seperate bowls
4. Cut tomatoes in 1/2" to 1" slices, I usually get 4 slices out of each medium tomato
5. Dip tomato slices in buttermilk, letting excess drip off
6. Coat both sides of tomatoes with flour, coat very lightly, if you get to much flour on it, it wont' get crisp, there will just be white flour on the tomato.
7. Lay slices on cookie sheet
8. Spray top of slices with butter or oil
9. Bake for 10 minutes on middle rack, then flip tomatos and spray tops again, and bake for an additional 10 minutes
10. Season as desired
Serving Size: Makes 4 servings, I usually get 4 slices from each tomato so it is 4 slices
