fat free berry muffins

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup white sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/3 cup applesauce 1 egg 1/3 cup milk 1 cup fresh blueberries 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped 1/2 cup white sugar 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup butter, cubed 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions
combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. whisk together applesauce, egg, and milk, fold into dry ingredients. add berries to mixture. spoon into large muffin tin.
*optional* crumb topping: combone 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, 1/4 cup butter, cubed, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon. mix together (using clean hands or mixer) until resembles a coarse texture. top each muffin with a generous amount.

Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes until slightly brown on top and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
