David's Spghetti Sauce

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef1 pound Italian sausage1/2 cup chopped onion1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced1 cup bell peppers, chopped3 cloves garlic, chopped3 bay leaves1/2 teaspoon anise1/2 teaspoon oregano2 cups low sodium tomato sauce
Directions
Brown Italians sausage and cut into 1/2 inch slices. Brown ground meat, drain and set both aside. Put all veggies and meats in pot and cook on low until vegetables are done. Add seasonings and tomato sauce and mix. Cover and cook on low for about 2 hours, until done. Season to taste.
