Ingredients
2 pounds ground meat (all beef, 1/2 turkey 1/2 beef, all turkey)1 can tomatoes with green chilies (RoTel), undrained3 cups vegetable or beef stock4 tablespoons chili powder1/2 tablespoon ground cumin1 teaspoon oregano1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes (less for less spicy)1/2 tablespoon garlic powder (or 4 cloves, fresh)1/2 tablespoon Splenda granulated1/2 medium white onion, diced1 tablespoon Sriracha or Thai garlic-chile paste (optional)1 tablespoon Louisiana hot sauce or Tabasco (optional)
Directions
Brown meat over medium-high heat, drain off excess fat.

Meanwhile combine remaining ingredients, stir well and let stand while meat cooks. I like to put in all in the blender (excluding the meat) since I have a picky eater who hates onions.

When meat is cooked and drained add the chili sauce to the skillet and stir to combine. (If you are adding beans, this is where you would include them.) Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer; uncovered.

Simmer at least 15 minutes. It's great at this point. The longer you simmer it, the better it gets. If you plan on simmering it longer than 15 minutes you would need to cover it.
