chicken breast w/balsamic vinegar and garlic

Ingredients
4 skinless boneless chicken breast6 cloves garlic, minced3/4lb mushrooms, sliced3/4c chicken broth1 TB butter2 TB extra virgin olive oil1/4c balsamic vinegar1 bay leaf1/4 tsp dried thymesalt and pepper to taste
Directions
heat oil in skillet over med-hi heat
saute chicken about 3 mins until nicely browned on one side. add garlic and turn chicken breast over. scatter mushrooms over chicken. continue frying, shaking the skillet and stirring for about 3 mins.
add vinegar, broth, bay leaf, and thyme.
cover tightly and simmer over med-lo heat for 10 mins, stirring occasionally.
transfer chicken to a warm plate and cover with foil.
continue simmering sauce uncovered over med-hi heat for 7 mins.
add butter and remove bay leaf. pour over chicken and serve.
