Butter Chicken - Slow Cooker

4 boneless skinless chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces1 onion diced3 cloves garlic minced2 T butter2 T oil15 cardamom pods (strung together or tied in a cheese cloth).2 t curry powder1 T curry past (like Patak's mild curry paste)1t cayenne power (optional)2 t tandoori masala1 t garam masala1 can coconut milk1 c plain yogurt1 5.5 gl oz can tomato pastesalt to taste
Stir fry chicken, onion and garlic in frying pan on medium heat until the chicken has some color and the onion is tranlucent. Then pour entire contents of pan into crock pot. Then add remaining ingredients.
Mix gently and cook on high heat 4-6 hours or low heat 6-8 hours.
Service with basmati rice and warm naan bread (not included in total calorie count).
