Finely chop:4 or 5 large figs1/2 cup raisins1/2 cup applesadd and mix well:3/4 cup dark raw honey1/4 cup molasses1/4 cup canola oil1 large brown egg1/2 t. ground cloves1/2 t. ground cinnamonaccording to taste, add:dash or two of allspicedash or two of gingersift together:1/2 t. sea salt1 t. baking powder1/2 t. baking soda2 cups whole wheat flour1/2 cup flax3 T. wheat germ1/2 cup walnuts, groundadd to wet ingredients and mix well.Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake
Bake 10 minutes in convection oven, approximately 5 minutes longer in regular oven.
Sprinkle a tiny bit of white sugar on top after removing from oven. Cool on pan for 5 minutes. Remove to serving plate.
