Paul's Crockpot Turkey Stuffed Bell Peppers

4 Large yellow or orange bell peppers1 1/2 pounds 99% fat free jennie-o Ground turkey1 large egg1 1/2 cups brown minute rice1 cup chopped onion2 cups (2 -8 oz cans) tomato sauce1 tsp salt1 tsp black pepper1 tsp garlic powder
1) Put 4 oz tomato sauce on bottom of 5 quart crockpot and turn on low.
2) Cut all peppers in half and remove seeds
3) Mix all ingredients except 4 oz tomato sauce in a large bowl. Split the turkey mixture into the 8 bell pepper halves.
4) Put the stuffed bell peppers into the crockpot. Spoon remaining 4 oz tomato sauce evenly over the 8 stuffed bell peppers. Sprinkle a touch of Johnny's seasoning over bell peppers if desired.
5) Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours. Makes 8 servings. Serve with mashed potatos and corn or a spring vegetable mix with red potatoes as a side dish.
I only make 4 half peppers and freeze the othe half of the meat mixture to use later since i have a small family
