Squash and bean stew with tomato and green beans

1 Tbsp olove oil1 large onion chopped3 garlic cloves minced1 Tbsp chili powder1.5 tsp ground cumin3 cups pomi chopped tomato 2 Lb winter squash de seeded peeled and cut into 1" pieces4 oz green beans cut into 1 " pieces1 cups dry beans (or a 16oz can)1 Tbsp jalopeno chopped and de seedeed
Soak beans overnight ,or use canned.(nutritional values will differ)Cook the dry beans the way recomended
Heat oil in pan medium heat add onions and saute until translucent,add garlic and spices stir for a minute.Add the tomatoes stir and bring to a boil add the aquash and green beans.Reduce heat cover and simme runtil veggies are almost tender,stir in the cooked beans and jalopeno.Cover and simmeruntil veggies are done about 10 min longer. season with salt and pepper.
