Molasses Ginger Cookies

Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar1 cup shortening1/2 cup molasses2 large eggs3 1/2 cups enriched flour2 tsp baking soda2 tsp ground ginger1 tsp ground cloves1 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
In a large bowl, cream sugar and shortening till fluffy. Add eggs and molasses and beat well. Add dry ingredients, small amounts at a time, mixing well. Form into 1-inch balls, roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake in 350 F oven, about 15 minutes, till lightly brown on bottom.

Makes 6-8 dozen delicious cookies.
