-6 C water-3 T salt-3 C uncooked pumpkin seeds cleaned of pumpkin and washed/drained-1 1/2 T canola oil-Chili powder, Paprika, ground Cumin and garlic powder to taste. I just sprinkled it in, but I'm guessing I used about-1 to 1 1/2 t chili powder-1 t paprika- 1 to 1 1/2 t ground cumin-1 to 1 1/2 t garlic powder
---Boil the water and salt 1st. Then stir in the seeds and stir occasionally while it boils for 10 min.. Meanwhile mix your oil and spices in a med-large bowl.
---Drain in a thin strainer and then pat dry on towels. Transfer dried seeds to the oil/spices in the bowl. Stir/toss til coated well. Then spread on a cookie sheet evenly.
---Cook in a PREHEATED 250 DEGREE oven for 60-90 min, stirring every 10 min, until crispy and toasted.
---Makes 9 servings of 1/3 C each.
