If you haven’t yet gotten into the green smoothie craze, get yourself a juicer and pile on those vegetables. In juice, vegetables mix very well with fruit disguising the bitter taste we often associate with vegetables. Many people don’t get enough leafy greens into their diet and a green juice each morning can greatly add to their overall health. Leafy vegetables like spinach are unmatched in their nutritional benefits. Spinach contains many nutrients that do wonders for the immune system, digestive system, brain and nervous system and even protects against cancer. Here’s a great recipe for a spinach smoothie:

1. Rinse and chop the cucumber and ginger.
2. Add the lemon and the apple with the skins on.
3. Serve with ice. You won’t even taste the spinach!
