Whole wheat chocolate chocolate chip muffins

Ingredients
2 Cups whole wheat flour.75 cup sugar.25 cup brown sugar packed1 tsp vanilla extract1 cup 1% milk1 tsp salt1 egg.25 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened1/2 cup butter1/2 cup chcocolate chips1 tablespoon flax seed
Directions
Mix the flour, cocoa, salt and chocolate chips and ground flax seed--set aside.
Cream the butter and sugars and egg, add milk and vanilla extract...mix well.
Add dry mixture to wet mixture and stir until just moistened.
Fill mini-muffin tins and bake for 15-20 min. or until muffins test done.

Makes 48 mini muffins

    Not sure what I did, but these bubbled something awful in the oven, spilling over the tins. But wow, even with that they were super delicious. Not only nice and chocolatey, but with a wonderful texture. Very satisfying. My kids loved them, too. Will definitely make again. - 8/1/14

    Missing one thing...temp for the oven. I also tweeked this a little (light margarine instead of butter, 1/4c of bran instead of the flax seed & skim milk instead of 1%). They turned out great and both of my kiddos loved them! - 5/24/08
