Revamped Rolled Christmas Ginger Cookies

1 cup vegetable shortening3/4 cup sugar*1 egg1 cup molasses2 tbsp balsamic vinegar*4 1/2 cup all-purpose flour*3/4 cup ground flaxseed meal1 1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt2-3 teaspoons ground ginger2 tsp ground cinnamon*2 tsp ground allspice*I DO NOT own the rights to the original recipe. It has been revamped.
Place rack on top rung. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. "Cream sugar and shortening. Beat in egg, molasses, and vinegar. Sift together dry ingredients; blend in. Chill dough for 3 hours.
Roll dough 1/8" thick on lightly floured surface OR between Seran-type wrap. Cut in shapes."(Serving size refers to small 2"X3" shape cookies) "Place 1" apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 5-6 minutes. Cool slightly(about 5 minutes) on sheet; remove cookies from sheet to cooling rack to completely cool." Frosting not accounted for in calorie and nutrition information!
