Sausage and Pumpkin Pasta

3/4 lb. Pork Sausage links1 T. olive oil1 can pumpkin3 cups chopped broccoli1 onion, diced2 cloves garlic, minced1/2 cup half-and-half8 oz ziti or penne1 T. Fresh sage1/2 t. thyme1/4 t. cinnamon1/4 t. cayennesalt and pepper3/4 cup mozzarella, grated
Boil water for broccoli.
Brown sausage in oil. Remove from pan and slice. Add onions and garlic and cook until soft. Return sliced sausage to pan and heat through.
Remove sausage and onions. Scoop broccoli with a slotted spoon into skillet, using water to scrape up any caramelized bits. Add the pumpkin and half-and-half. Stir together. Add the spices. Season well.
Cook the penne (or ziti) in the broccoli water.
Add the sausage back to pumpkin/broccoli. Add the pasta, when cooked. Mix throughly.
Sprinkle the cheese and bake for 10 minutes in 400 degree oven.
Serving Size: 1/4 pan
