Simple Beef Stew

Ingredients
2 lbs stewing beef cut into 1.5 inch piesces2 tbs flour1 tsp pepper1 tsp salt3 tbs canola oil1 bay leaf1/4 cup flour2 medium onoins chopped4 medium potatoes cubed2 celery stalks chopped into 2 inch pieces (chunks)2 large carrots cut into 2 inch pieces (chunks)1 can beef bouillon3 cups water1/4 cup water
Directions
1. Coat beef with flour, salt & pepper.

2. Brown meat in canola oil in a large dutch oven.

3. Add bouillon, onion, celery, bay leaf and 3 cups water.

4. Simmer on low covered for 30 minutes.

5. Remove bay leaf.

6. Add potateos & carrots.

7. Cover & cook for 30-45 minutes until potatoes are tender.

7. Mix 2 tbs flour with 1/4 cup water, stir into stew.

8. Heat until thickens (approx 5-10 minutes).

8 large servings
