Thumbprints - Pecan Delight Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup (=2sticks) butter1/4 cup sugar2 cups flour1 teaspoon vanilla1/4 teaspoon salt1 cup finely chopped pecansFrosting1 cup confectioner sugar1/2 teaspoon vanillaEnough water to make the right consistency to drop off the tip of the spoon.
1. Cream together sugar & butter
2. Beat in flour, vanilla & salt
3. Stir in pecans
4. Drop by teaspoon onto an ungreased baking sheet & make a thumb print in each cookie
5. Bake in a slow oven 300 degrees
6 For 20 to 30 minutes
7. Remove to cooling racks and fill each thumb print with red or green frosting.
Serving Size: Makes 48 cookies
