Beef Paprika

Ingredients
900g Beef Rump Steak or Stewing Steak2 Tablespoons Sunflower or Vegetable Oil1 Large Onion2 Cloves of Garlic25g Plain White Flour1 Pint Beef Stock0.5 Teaspoons Marjoram0.5 Teaspoons Caraway Seeds2 Teaspoons of Paprika1 Teaspoon Brown SugarPinch of Salt and Pepper or to taste
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 180C or 160C if fan oven. Cube the beef. Peel and chop onions and garlic. Heat the oil in a large saucepan or flame-proof casserole dish. Add the beef and fry until brown on all sides. Add onions and garlic to pan and then fry until transparent. Sprinkle on the flour and stir into mixture. Add marjoram, caraway seed, sugar, paprika, seasoning and stock then stir to remove any sediment from bottom of pan. Cover tightly and cook in middle of oven for 1.5 to 2 hours
