Carob Peanut Butter Squares

3/4 c. unsweetened applesauce1/4 c. orange juice3/4 c. peanut butter1 c. oatmeal1 1/4 c. whole wheat flour1/2 tsp baking soda1/4 tsp salt1/4 tsp cinnamon1/8 tsp ginger1/2 c. carob chips (vegan)1/2 c. (1.5 oz) walnuts, chopped
Mix thoroughly: applesauce, orange juice, peanut butter.
Add in and mix well: oatmeal, whole wheat flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger.
Fold in: walnuts and carob chips.
Oil 8x8 square baking dish. Dust with flour. put mix into dish. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Makes 16 squares.
