Whole Wheat Waffles

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups organic whole wheat pastry flour1/4 cup ground flax seed 2 TBS Stevia in the Raw2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt1 1/2 cups Almond Milk (unsweet, vanilla)1 egg1/3 cup coconut oil (melted)
Directions
Plug in the waffle iron and allow it to get very hot while the batter is being made. Wisk together the flour, flax seed, stevia, baking powder, and salt. Combine the warmed almond milk, egg and melted coconut oil. Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined (the batter will be lumpy - don't overmix). Add 2/3 cup of the batter to the very hot waffle iron and cook until crispy.

Serving Size: Makes 4 "Belgian" waffles
