Spirit Festival Rice

Ingredients

Small can of peas1/4 cup golden raisins1 bag boil-in-the-bag white rice1/4 - 1/2 cup unsalted peanuts (raw, roasted, or boiled)Optional:1-2 tbsp honey1-2 tbsp butter / butter substitutedash of cardamom or cinnamon
Prepare a pot of boiling water. Place bag of rice, peas (may drain or not, your choice), peanuts, and raisins in the water and cook according to rice box instructions.
When done, remove bag of rice and set in clean sink to drain. Pour the rest of the mixture from the pot through a collandar.
Carefully open the bag of rice and pour into a bowl or back into the emptied pot. Stir in any optional ingredients then add drained mixture back into the rice & stir.
(The raisins will plump slightly during cooking.)
Eat while hot.
