Venison Crockpot Chili

Ingredients
1 lb venison hamburg/sausage1 c chopped onion1/2 c diced green bell peppers1 glove garlic, minced1 14oz can tomato sauce1 14oz can stewed tomatoes1 12 oz can yellow/white sweet corn,drained1 can light red kidney beans, drained2 tsp chili powder1/2 tsp basil, dried1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)1 c salsa,any variety (optional)
Directions
brown venison in skillet w/onions, peppers & garlic until meat is no longer pink Drain.Place in the bottom of crock pot on low setting. Add all remaining ingredients & stir to mix. Coo for minimum of 4 hrs on high/8 hrs on low. Makes about 8 -1 cup servings. Enjoy!
**to save time, I use the frozen diced onions & peppers & already minced garlic in a jar. I occasionally add a small can of sliced black olives**
