Ingredients
Directions
1.5 lbs of lean ground beef1/4 cup uncooked long grain white rice1/2 cup of water1/2 cup chopped onion1/4 tsp salt1/2 tsp black pepper1/4 tsp garlic powder5 cups / 1.25 litres tomato sauce5 tsp worcestershire sauce1/2 tsp chili powder1/4 tsp cayenne pepper5 cups cooked egg noodles
Use a large skillet/ deep frying pan.
In a large bowl, combine beef, rice, water, onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder until well blended.
Mold 1/4 cup of beef mixture into cone shaped serving. I find it easy to just pack the beef mixture into a medium plastic funnel and just pop the "porcupine" out.
Brown the porcupine cones in the large skillet on all sides.
In bowl, combine tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, chili powder and cayenne pepper. Pour over beef in skillet. Let simmer for 45 minutes on low heat.
Serve over egg noodles.
