Cajun Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients
15 raw shrimp, peeled and deveined2 tbsp olive oil1 tbsp shallot minced1 tbsp garlic minced2 tbsp red wine or red cooking wine1/2 can tomato paste3/4 cup chicken broth3 tbsp McCormick cajun seasoning1 tsp basil1 tsp oreganosalt and pepper to taste1/4 cup scallions4 servings of your favorite shaped pasta
Directions
Makes 4 servings:

Peel and devein shrimp. Set aside.
Heat olive oil in large skillet.
Sautee garlic and shallots over low heat until soft.
Add chicken broth and tomato paste.
Add cajun seasoning, basil, and oregano.
Add salt and pepper.
Stir until smooth.
Bring to a simmer.
Add red wine and mushrooms. Let thicken for 2-3 minutes.
Add shrimp to sauce in a single layer and sautee until pink.
Remove shrimp from sauce.
Add cream and stir until thick.
Toss shrimp, sauce, and cooked pasta together in a large bowl.
Garnish with scallions.
