Malted Milk Date Bars

Ingredients
2/3 c sifted flour3/4 c chocolate or vanilla malted milk powder1/2 tsp baking powder1/3 c butter3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar2 eggs1/2 tsp vanilla1 c finely chopped datesoptional - 3/4 c nuts
Directions
Sift together flour, malted milk powder, and baking powder. Melt butter in medium saucepan. Remove from heat; add brown sugar and mix well. Blend in unbeaten eggs and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Stir in dates. Turn into greased 9x9x2 or 11x7x2 pan. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes.
