1/2 cup nutritional yeast3 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp sea salt1/2 tsp black pepper 1 cup water1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil2 tsp prepared Dijon or yellow mustard
Mix the first four ingredients together (nutritional yeast, flour, salt and pepper), then add the water and oil and mix thoroughly with a wire whisk. Stir or whisk over medium to medium high heat until the mixture thickens and begins to boil slightly. Stir in the mustard, heat another 30-60 seconds. Serve in place of cheese sauce over vegetables, macaroni, rice, toast or cooked grains.
