Hamcabbean Soup

4.5 lbs Ham shank bone/ with meat12 c.Water1 Cabbage, head chopped2 c. Celery, diced2.c Carrots, diced1c. Onion, chopped3 cans Great Northern Beans 1 tbsp Black Pepper
1. Put ham bone and 10 cups of water in the slowcooker and cook on low overnight.
2. Place strainer in a large bowl and pour slowcooker contents in strainer to seperate liquids and solids.
3. Place meat and bones in a seperate bowl to cool. Add broth back to slowcooker.
4. Add 2c. water, cabbage, celery, carrots, onion, and black pepper to broth.
5. Seperate meat from the bones and fat. Add meat to slowcooker.
6. Once cabbage has soften add beans. Slowcook for an hour or so and serve.
