Apple Kheer

Ingredients
2 cups milk2 tbsp sugar1 large peeled and grated apple1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder4 sliced almonds (optional)5 pistachio slivers (optional)Rose water(optional)Rose petals for decoration (optional)
Directions
Put the milk to boil in a deep pan and add the sugar.
Mix well and cook gently till the mixture is reduced to half.
Grate the apples and add to the milk and simmer for 5 minutes on low heat taking care not to curdle the milk. Add a few tspns of rosewater
Remove from the flame, sprinkle cardamom, pistas and almonds on top.
Serve hot or cold decorated with a few rosé petals
