Thai Shrimp

Ingredients
1 cup water1 cup Rice vinegar1 cup sugar or splenda2 1/4 tsp fresh grated ginger2 1/4 tsp minced garlic2 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper2 1/4 tsp ketchup2 1/4 tsp corn starch1 pound peeled shrimp
Directions
Mix water and vinegar, bring to boil. Add sugar, ginger, garlic, red pepper and ketchup and let simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add corn starch. Reserve at least half sauce in separate bowl. Add shrimp to pan with remaining sauce and cook until done. Serve over shredded cabbage with reserved sauce. Makes about 6 1 cup servings.
