Grandma's Scalloped Potato and Ham Casserole

Ingredients
8 medium potatoes washed and dicedwater seasoned with salt and pepper1/2 cup butter1/2 cup flour1/2 tsp salt4 cups milk2 cups diced ham1 cup diced cheese
Directions
Boil the diced potatoes in water seasoned liberally with salt and pepper for 5 minutes. Drain but do not rinse. Melt butter and stir in flour and salt to make a rue. Cook until pastey. Gradually add milk and stir until thigh and creamy. Pour potatoes into a large baking dish stir in ham and cheese. Pour the sauce over the potato mixture. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes.

    Not healthy, since the yield is more like 8 servings it ends up being 473 cals & 23 fat grams, with 43% of the calories coming from fat. This recipe needs reworked before it can fit into a diet where there are health concerns. Misleading. - 1/15/11
