Butter Clues

1 1/2 Cups Flour1/2 Cup I can't believe it's not butter3 Tbs. Sugar1 Cup white sugar1 Cup brown sugar3 eggs1 Cup sweetened coconut3/4 Cup walnuts1/2 cup powdered sugar
1. Mix the flour, butter, and 3 Tbs sugar in a bowl. Crumble with your fingers to form a dough, and pat into a 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees or until lightly browned.
2. Mix the rest of the white sugar, the brown sugar, and three egg yolks in a bowl (reserve the egg whites in another bowl). Cream well.
3. Mix in the coconut and walnuts.
4. Beat the three egg whites with a hand mixer on high until they form stiff peaks. Fold into the coconut mixture.
5. Spread mixture over the crust and bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned.
6. Cool the cookie and cut into squares. Roll the squares in powdered sugar.
Makes 24-36 cookies
