Swiss Onion Ham Quiche

Ingredients
1 medium onion, chopped, 4 ounces 1 tablespoon butter 6 eggs 1 cup heavy cream 8 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded 1/2 teaspoon salt Dash pepper 5oz Ham
Directions
Sauté the onions in butter until tender and slightly browned. Grease a 9-10" glass pie plate. Arrange the cheese and ham on the bottom of the plate; top with the onions and spread them evenly over the cheese and ham. Beat the eggs, cream, salt, pepper. Pour evenly over the cheese, ham and onions. Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes or so to set before slicing.
