Paleo Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Wet Ingredients:3 Very ripe bananas1 Cup applesauce1/4 Cup almond butter1/2 Cup honey (preferably raw)2 Eggs2 Teaspoons vanillaDry Ingredients:2 1/2 Cups almond meal (I just toss raw almonds in a food processor and process until mealy)1/4 Cup ground flax seed2 Teaspoons baking powderDash of salt3/4 Cup chopped dates1/2 Cup chocolate chips (paleo-friendly ones)
Preheat oven to 350°. Line muffin tin with baking cups.
In large bowl, mix dry ingredients
In separate bowl, mash bananas (I use a fork) and mix in remaining wet ingredients.
Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until mixed well.
Scoop batter into muffin tin (fill each cup about 3/4 full).
Bake for 15 minutes, or until tops start to brown slightly
Let cool, then eat!
