Picante Sauce

Ingredients
4 cups tomatoes, peeled, pureed in blender or food processor1 onion, finely chopped2 jalapenos, finely chopped (skin and membranes removed, if desired to reduce heat)1/4 cup distilled white vinegar2 Tbsp lime juice2 cloves garlic, finely chopped1 tsp salt1 Tbsp dried minced onion
Directions
Combine all ingredients in large pot, bring to boil over medium high heat. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until sauce reduces to desired consistency. Cool and store in refrigerator or freeze until needed. Recipe makes 3 cups picante sauce.
