ginger glazed salmon

Ingredients
2 fresh salmon filletssalt to taste1/3 c cold water1/4 c seasoned rice vinegar2 tbsp brown sugar1 tbs hot chili paste (such as sambal oelek)1 tbs finely grated fresh ginger4 cloves minced garlic1 tsp soy sauce1/4 c chopped fresh basil
Directions
1. preheat grill for medium head and lightly oil the grate
2. season fillets with salt
3. place salmon on grill and cook 6-8 min per side until flakes easily with a fork
4. combine water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili paste, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce in a small sauce pan over medium heat
5. bring mixture to a boil, reduce head to medium and simmer until barely thickened, about 2 min
6. sprinkle basil on top of salmon; spoon glaze over basil

Serving Size: 2 fillets and sauce left over for rice
