although I didn't make this recipe exactly, I have made recipes similar enough to this one to know this recipe is delicious. For those who object to the high calorie content, I would like suggest using light 40 calorie per slice bread and egg whites no yolk. that should cut the calories nicely. - 11/2/07

I made it camping (X3) in a dutch oven (with a bail instead of a lipped lid) over the fire. I set it on a grate over the coals. I stirred it every 5 minutes for around 30 minutes. Instead of yougurt, use whipped cream . It turned out perfect and I'm still hearing about how I outdid myself! - 5/7/09

This is a really good "Cooking Light" type of recipe; real ingredients with substitutions made where appropriate. If you are in the mood for bread pudding, but want a healthier version that still tastes like bread pudding, this is the recipe! - 6/18/07

My family loved this. I used skim milk (didn't have any evaporated) and threw in a few more chocolate chips. I used up some old hot dog buns, and no one was any the wiser. Delicious! - 6/2/09

It made me think of a really chocolatty brownie rather tan a pudding. Quick, easy, and good. - 11/16/08

awesome!i used wheat bread, splenda brown sugar and skipped the chocolate chips and frozen yogurt not sure how to figure out what the cals are with my substitutes but it had to be a bit lower! - 5/2/09

We love serving this recipe for Christmas Eve. I usually stick a peppermint candy stick in it, along with a fresh leaf of mint, just to keep with the season. I like the idea of lowering the calories! We've never tried it with ice cream or yogurt; maybe we will give it a run. - 7/28/09

My husband is boycotting deserts, but he eats this and enjoys it. It's so healthy with the wholewheat bread, add some nuts, and top with berries for all 4 food groups! - 6/24/09

It was yummy, but a bit too high right now in calories for my daily limit. I would have to reserve this for maintenance. - 4/30/09

One thing that I wonder is if the recipe includes the frozen yogurt? I used egg beaters and skim milk, a little bit more chocalte chips. It was satisfying and very easy! It's silly to harsh on this recipe--lots of Spark ones aren't totally low calorie, and substitutions are easy. - 5/2/09

I use this as a once every other week treat for my self. Studies have shown that if you don't do one day of non diet foods that it is easier to forget about dieting and just go back to your bad habits. So once every 2 weeks I have a day that I eat the foods that I won't, and still maintain my diet. - 5/3/08

This was wonderful! I added extra cinnamon and used whole wheat bread. Will make it again and again. Loved it! - 4/30/09

Used "Sugar Twin Brown Sugar", it's all sugar free and tastes better than Splenda Brown sugar, which is half real sugar. 45 calorie a slice wheat bread worked well too. Try it. - 10/2/09

This is similar to a Southern Living recipe but was a little easier. This makes a good company breakfast side dish. - 8/9/09

This looks very good. I am diabetic so I will make the appropriate substitutions. And I will work in the calories and carbs into my day. I looked at the full nutrition info and it does have a lot of nutrients. You have to give yourself a treat once in awhile. - 4/30/09

Great treat to have. I also used some substitutions to keep it healthier. I have learned that to maintain my weight loss, I need to not think I am on a DIET but a healthier lifestyle. - 10/27/08

Bread pudding is one of my all time favorite "go to" recipes. This chocolate cinnamon version makes a great winter time dessert (hard to beat the aroma of the chocolate/cinnamon combination baking in the oven). I added sliced bananas to the recipe last time I made it--maybe cherries next time. - 10/21/09

making this recipe now. Calculated without chocolate chips and it came to 235.1 calories and 4.6 fat. per serving. USED 1% MILK. ALSO NO YOGURT - 10/2/09

I made this tonight, it was really good. I made it with Splenda brown sugar, but used regular eggs. Egg substitutes make me nervous. I should probably try it out. Anyway, I really thought it was good. It doesn't really need the extra morsels you add on top, so next time I make it I omit them - 8/2/09

Amazing. Its great as a treat once and awhile, I had company over and they loved it. And with others eating most of it I didn't have to worry about the high calorie count so much. - 5/6/08
