Balsamic Pulled Beef -- Slow Cooker

4-5lb beef chuck roast1 cup beef broth1/2 cup light brown sugar1/4 cup balsamic vinegar1 Tbsp soy sauce1 tsp kosher salt1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes3 cloves garlic, pressed
1. Heat 1 TBSP of olive oil
2. Sear beef chuck in hot pan on all sides to get a brown exterior (Pan must be hot) for about 4 minutes each side
3. Mix all other ingredients and pour half into slowcooker
4. Add meat and pour remaining liquid over meat
5. Cover and cook on high 6 hours or low for 8 (I cooked high on 6 and it turned out great)
6. Remove beef, shred and return back to juices to heat through. Serve.
