Yummy smashed taters

Ingredients
10 medium potatoes1 stick of butter2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese0.5 cup of diced scallions
Directions
Clean and dice potatoes and place in a large pot and cover with water. (I leave the skins on, you can peel them if you wish) Boil the potatoes until tender, drain and put back into pot. Add the remaining ingredients and mash (I don't whip them, we like them lumpy) with a potato masher until all ingredients are incorporated. Serve.
