Cider Meat Stew

Ingredients
Beef for stew 1/2 lb,Pork for stew 1/2 lb,Onions, chopped, 1 cupGarlic, minced, 2 clovessalt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tspturnips, 4 small, cut upcarrots, 2 medium, slicedcelery, 1-2 stalks, sliced or choppedChicken broth, 1 cup2 cups apple cider, cloudy type1 green pepper, chopped3 potatoes, cut up1 bay leave, wholeoil to brown meat1 tbsp cornstarch
Directions
Saute garlic and onions in olive oil in a duth oven type pan. When onions are translucent, add the beef and pork. After meat is browned, add chicken broth, apple cider, turnips, carrots, celery,salt, pepper and bay leave. Bring to boil, lower heat to simmer, Let simmer for 2 hours. Take the 1 tbsp cornstarch, stir in about 1/2 cup water. When smooth add to stew. Add potatoes and green pepper, simmer another 1 hour before serving.

Optional, leave out potatoes. Make Cheesy mashed potatoes. Place in bowl, ladle stew over.

Makes about 4-6 servings, depending on size of serving.
